Congratulations to our wonderful 2nd Class pupils who made their First Holy Communion at the weekend. ✨⛪ It was a very special day for the children. A sincere thank you to Fr Blake for celebrating such a beautiful ceremony, and to Ms Kelly for all her hard work in preparing the children for their special day.
The Sylane Boys football team took part in this years Cumann na mBunscoil competition today in Belclare. They won both of their group matches but unfortunately were unable to get over the line in the semi final. They played great and showed great sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the morning. Well done boys!!
Our sixth class pupil Beny had a fantastic day in Leinster House last Friday, attending Dáil na nOg 2026, representing County Galway Comhairle with other delegates. Dail na nOg is an event that happens every 2 years when Comhairli from across Ireland meet to hold their own Dail. The topic they looked at was Education, which was narrowed down to a call for continuous assessments and how Irish is taught in schools.
We had a great Friendship Week in school 😊 The children took part in lots of fun activities and showed real kindness to each other throughout the week. It was lovely to see them including others, helping out, and making new friends. Well done to all our pupils for making such a positive effort. Let’s keep it going!
